Carolina Huerta joined Waco Foundation in April 2019 and serves as the Foundation’s Administrative Assistant. Carolina, originally from Atlanta, moved to Waco in 2010, and she later graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Global Studies in May 2018. Prior to working at Waco Foundation, she interned at Cooper Foundation and East Waco Empowerment Project along with doing some design work at a marketing firm abroad. During her time in college, she lived abroad in France, Scotland and Mexico, solidifying her passion for traveling and learning new cultures. 

As part of her role, she supports the Mission work of the Foundation, including race equity, capacity building and administrative duties for reception and the executive office. Carolina is passionate about the power of community-supporting-community, and she is hopeful of the future of Waco as it grows and flourishes in the race equity space.
