Please fill out the City of Waco Survey if you are in need of assistance. A representative will contact you directly.

Waco Foundation's Board gave a $25,000 seed gift to the
Winter Storm Community Relief Fund to help our
community members get the aid they need.

One hundred percent of Winter Storm Community Relief Funds will be used to support vulnerable individuals and families who experienced significant hardships, including home damage and increased need for basic necessities.

Seeking Support FAQ

Do I qualify for support?
It is anticipated we will receive significant support from state and federal agencies over the next weeks and months to help us recover from the storm.  This charitable fund was created to support our most vulnerable populations including the elderly and disabled and those with low-incomes.  Support from this fund is for community members who are in dire situations and unable to access basic necessities or make vital home repairs.

I am an individual who needs support. Where should I go?
Community members in need of assistance should fill out the City of Waco Survey and a representative will reach out directly.  We encourage community members to visit waco-texas.com/recovery for information about state and federal support including information about applying for FEMA assistance.

Do I have to work with the pre-selected nonprofits to get help?
There are a number of organizations in the community working to provide assistance to individuals and families during this time of need. We encourage you to connect with the agency or agencies in which you are most comfortable.

Money from the Winter Storm Community Relief Fund however, will only be directed to pre-selected agencies during the Initial Response Phase. Waco Foundation identified a set of agencies that can quickly receive money from the Winter Storm Community Relief Fund and in turn, through their support staff and programming, facilitate its’ distribution by providing basic necessities and/or home repairs.

Based on the City of Waco survey of needs and state and federal dollars allocated to our community, additional funding phases and nonprofit organizations may be announced and a later time.
